Reaching in Ahmedabad

The Ahmedabad airport is around 15kms from the city centre and is in its north-eastern side. Ahmedabad is connected to many countries abroad and there are numerous direct flights to places like London, New York, San Francisco, Chicago etc in the west and Singapore Sharjah, Kuala Lumpur in the east. The domestic flights also connect the city to many important cities in India like Mumbai, Delhi, Indore and Chennai etc.

Trains from big cities like Mumbai and Delhi pass through Ahmedabad several times a day. In addition to this, there are also a good number of direct or through fare trains that come from other cities and states across the country. One can even drive to Ahmedabad from Mumbai which will take around 10hrs and enjoy the scenic beauty. Driving to Ahmedabad from Delhi is tiring but at the same time, is also very interesting.

Climate in Ahmedabad

The summer in Ahmedabad is considerably hot. The summer season starts from mid march and stays until mid June. The average temperature on a sunny summer day would be around 37'C to as high as 44'C. By the time the monsoon arrives (mid June), the city becomes quite an enjoyable place with lots of local delicacies being dished out on the wayside eateries. However, the monsoon has another facet to it, i.e. water accumulating on the roads causing problems in traveling. In the winter season the climate is quite pleasant and the temperature is around 5'C to 20'C. the soothing temperature of the winter season makes it the best time for the tourists to visit Ahmedabad and enjoy without having to worry about rainfall or scorching heat.
